Hey there RI!

It’s been a while since we’ve checked in, OSS was busy trying to deflate Omicron’s impact on the Ocean State. I think we did relatively well, and we’re looking forward to a great Summer. A few things we want to mention to help catch us all up: 

  1. OSS now is in Rhode Island AND Massachusetts! Yes, we’re expanding and have a location in New Bedford. If anyone has been to Groundwork on Purchase Street, you’ll know we picked the coolest spot to set up shop. 
  2. The Igloo has been rebranded as the Shell. Why would we mess with a good thing? It wasn’t applicable to the multi-functional purpose of the product any longer. Of course it’s still the only fully commercial grade fire code and ADA compliant structure of t’s kind available anywhere in the country, but now we’ve added zipped screen windows to make it a year round model. It goes from ‘Igloo’ to ‘Patio’ with the pull of a few zippers. This will be hugely helpful for businesses, daycares, etc… who are looking for year round options.
  3. Did someone say FOOD? We did. Our SD90 spray is EPA approved as one of the only non-toxic ways to greatly eliminate food spoilage! Got organics? Then you know how quickly they can turn on you. By applying SD90 to your storage space for your perishables, you’ve saved yourself over 30% of your investment! 
  4. Finally, make sure you check out the piece of Rhode Island history we’re giving away! Our friends at Apponaug Brewing in Warwick are raffling off the OSS Shell which was housed at the RI State Archives as part of an exhibit on Ocean State ingenuity. All ticket sales will benefit a local women’s charity. It’s an $1850 prize! So check them out today and take a piece of history home.
