This week, Rhode Island’s former Director of Health, Dr. Michael Fine made a rather startling reveal when he said that we needed to choose, open the bars or open the schools. Seemingly we can’t have both and slow the spread and risk of Coronavirus. We can all appreciate the need for a socially distant cocktail after what seems to be an endless quarantine. But we also know that our children need to be attending school. Governor Raimondo is pushing for an in-person return to the classroom, and we really can’t blame her. The working parents of school age children are relying on classrooms to house their kids while they work. Working parents drive the economy, and lets face it, Rhode Island’s economy is in a free-fall.

#takeitoutside is great, but what happens when we can’t? New England weather is notoriously fickle. And there’s something about chugging a moscow mule outside in 40 degree weather which seems less than appealing. When you have to take in inside, make sure you’re being smart about it.

To reiterate, Ocean State Shields has what no other provider of services can offer. Sure, you’re cleaning, but the soft cost of labor adds up. In speaking with a new restaurant client last evening, we were shocked to learn they are estimating a total cost of $500 a week just in employee time and supplies spent cleaning! Our consumer facing, drop shipped, SD90 kit gives you everything you need to clean, disinfect with hospital-grade EPA approved power, then add a 90 day molecular barrier to nearly any surface inside your establishment. This means your tables, your booths, your restrooms, even your textiles. You don’t need to spend thousands, you should be investing in keeping your doors open.

Barriers are key to safely reopening, so here’s a tip: MAKE SURE yours are made with materials which are flame retardent. Our flexible panels are made right here in RI by Rhode Island small businesses. We offer customer interior fitups, and even mobile panels, so you can go ahead and seat that group without worrying.

Finally, we have our pre-treated credit/debit card sleeves. They’re treated with the same SD90+ we’re using in businesses all over RI & MA. Best of all, they’re under 5 bucks a pop, durable, and well quite honestly, make you look like a smart cookie who cares about your customers.

We’ll have more next week, including some superior work we’re doing on fleet vehicles.

As always, please stay safe and rock on. We’ve got you covered.
